Ok, so it sounds like the wheel vendors aren't going to dig up an 18" gunmetal Style 260 M3 wheel anytime soon.

I am contemplating buying 4 new OEM 18x8.5 et 29's (M3 fronts) and running the stock staggered tire size 225/255. This wheel setup is nearly identical to my winter Beyerns which are 18x8.5 ET30, but have 225's all the way around. I think clearance and fit should be fine. I don't have any real issues with the stock staggered setup for basic street driving anyway.

I really want an everyday set of 18's and was really hoping for this wheel in a replica to minimize cost. The stock wheel just doesn't jazz me anymore. I have some VMR 19' CSLs that I have been running and they are gorgeous on the car, but the 19's are getting tiresome dodging all the road construction crap that is nutso here this summer. Plus I like the tire choices and tire prices in 18's. I was also wanting gunmetal/gray color to not have to be so anal about cleaning.

Did a couple of photoshops based on shots with my beyerns.

I guess my only other thoughts are gunmetal CSLs in 18's from EAS or BBS CK's in anthracite, doing basically the same staggered tire setup on same size wheels.

Yeah, I mean I like the thought of those but I have the silvers in 19's. Time for a bigger change I think when adding some new shoes you know, even though that is absolutely the most gorgeous wheel...Here is a pic of the 19's on my car. I am also not sure I like it is a much in an 18" as the 19" and the offsets aren't near as aggressive, though the staggered rear is nice.

Plus it seems that everyone is getting the CSL lately. . .
I almost did but decided on something different

They are a good looking wheel but IMO I would not settle for non-staggered especially at the price of OEM wheels. OEM wheels IMO are just not worth their cost when you can get a much better aftermarket alternative for the same price or cheaper.

I hear you in principal but I think there are really two issues here:

1. I don't see the big advantage to staggered setup in 18" wheel size for a street application unless you are upsizing the tires to 235/265? The 8.5" rear is the same as OEM rear wheel and a 255 tire on an 8.5 vs. 9 or 9.5 doesn't make much difference. The somewhat stretched 225 on an 8.5" doesn't seem to be a real problem either.

2. Name a single alternative in a similar style to the OEM M3 wheel in 18" in gunmetal in a staggered setup that is cheaper? I don't think it exists.

The BBS CK is closest in style, but it is not staggered and it is not any cheaper than the OEM M3 wheel.

So until someone brings in these wheels as replicas this is really all we have.

I agree. I want the 18s as well, but none of the vendors are listening to the customers-bringing 19s instead. I don't want to have to buy springs or coilovers to lower the car after the 19s go on, not to mention the speedo differences, more rotating mass, etc.

I freakin' love those wheels. They look great. I wish I could get some in a staggered 18's for my e90. I've seen a couple sponsors say that they might have them in Sept or Oct.

Good luck. Choosing the right wheel is a pain in the a$$.

They look good. I don't think I have seen your company on here before. Can you give some background on the company and the wheels - how come a company I never heard of is offering these before the vendors that have been here for a long time?

Also, do you do tire/wheel packages? Didn't see that offered on your web site.

The OEM 260's offsets are too aggressive for non-M cars. The rear wheels will not fit. Our staggered VT908 wheels are designed with offsets suitable for non-M cars. 19x8.5 ET36 and 19x9.5 ET36, as well as 18x8.5 ET35 and 18x9.5 ET42. Please let us know if you have any questions.
