Hey guys just wanted to let you know that the VX8500 pairs fine with our cars, though I do have a pre-sept built car. Address book transfer and calls are clear, though the connection isnt as strong as my v710.

please clarify what you mean by "connection" and in what way it isn't as "strong" - thanks.

Does that phone have a line out port? Because it would be kind of nifty to use as a combo MP3 player/phone, using the AUX jack and the Bluetooth.

I just got the same phone but I don't know anything about BT. Does it say in the manual how to set it up?

Everyone listen up.

I have the phone, and it pairs perfectly. The phonebook transfers and the signal strength shows up. I dont know what "weak bluetooth" signal means. mine is fine, and stays paired the whole time (havent had a dropped connection yet).

The phone does have a line out jack (a little adapter comes with the phone) which allows you to plug a mini stereo connector into it. So,to hook it up to the aux input, you would need an adapter cable from radio shack -- mini stereo to stereo jack.

the sound quality from the headset jack is pretty good.

I paired my phone but I only see the first contact in my list of contacts.
When I hit the phone button it dials that contact. I can't get anything else to work.

Also, if I'm in the car and call someone using my cell phone, the call comes over the cars speaker phone. Is that right? I thought that would only happen if you made a call using the function in the car.

Can you post the exact steps you did to get this phone to work?
