Does one of the Unsers have something to do with it? Or is that Shelby hawking it? ; -)

Here's a little something from the Federal Trade Commission that may be relevant: http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2001/02/zmax1.shtm

Now ZMax is this: http://www.zmaxinfo.com/

That earl stuff I think is zMax. BTW, for anyone wanting to know some truly obscure, and totally useless, trivia; 'Snake Oil' comes from the 'Patent' medicines of the late 19th century. Here's a pretty good synopsis of the term: http://www.csicop.org/sb/9812/snakeoil.html

Thanks Art. That pretty much summed it up.

Awesome: "the three different products - an engine additive, a fuel line additive and a transmission additive - were all actually tinted mineral oil."

Carrol Shelby got bit on this one, badly. He also just last month got bit on the Unique Performance endorsement (along with Chip Foose), when it turns out Unique Performance was basically a fancy chop shop, "remanufacturing" cars with dubious past, complete with scratched out and fake VIN numbers.

Ha - If Shelby got paid (which he probably insisted on receiving up front) he didn't get burned. I had a chance, a few years back, to talk to members of the Unique Performance team at Road America (actually got to drive a Shelby Series 1 on the access roads). They had an Eleanor that puked on the track. They were working any angles for press hard (they had to be if they thought that I was worth wasting time on ; -).

Funny about the Unique Performance thang...

I'm sure he got paid in advance, as he's no fool, and his name/endorsement is worth decent weight. However, having these two endorsements coming up sour in less than a month, your start to look like a endorsement whore, and your name isn't worth as much when shilling other's pookah beads.
