Dodge did a great job. I want one!! The 135i is stopping me from getting so many cars. Its not even funny.

I'd stick to my 135i. The Dodge looks good but somehow I think it is too retro. Just kinda looks like an original '70s car that has been facelifted. The sideview makes it look too cumbersome (small glasshouse/cabin and massive squared off body). Nope give me the compact pert 135i anyday of the week.

I don't know if you realize it, but that is just about the best compliment you can give a retro car. It retains all the classic design queues in a modern car. It also retains the big hemi engine, and the big trunk. Too bad it retains the gas mileage too...

One complaint about the 1-series is that it doesn't have much of any tie at all to any older models. BMW digs up the 2002 name to market it, but there is no 2002 there at all that I can see.

The success of this car depends primarily on the success of modern medicine. Long live boomers!

This is the exact reason that I love the new 2010 Camaro. I love the fact that it looks like the '69 model. How many people have been payint $100k + to get a custom car that has modern equipment but the retro styling? We will be able to get it soon (with a warrenty) for a third of the cost. I can't wait to see one in the flesh. I will be in the market when this car comes out and it is going to be a hard decision between the 135 and the Camaro.

That might be what d3syd was really trying to get at. If you don't love the looks of the original Challenger, it's tough to love this one.

The '69 Camero vs. the early 70's Challenger, ahh, .... How should I say this? Didn't share the same (AHEM!) "appeal" in the eyes of many. (no offense!) GM may have a certain historical advantage going into the whole retro thing.

well the fact that baby boomers have cash...and like the retro styling has been demonstrated once again...

they've got 9000 orders for 5500 cars...:eyebulge:

And to top it off, you gotta love the line about how they plan to boost production, but are laying off a bunch of people at the plant..."Hellllllo McFly...":iono:
