One choice only, 3.0CS hands down.

I've got more than a couple:
Among those I've owned, I would say it's an honest-to-God tie between '97 M3, '06 Z4 Coupe 3.0Si, and '00 Z3 M Coupe. All had superb all-around performance. All have engines that I think define BMW, which are smooth, solid, torquey but happy to rev, in-line sixes. Great, neutral handling, as well, although the Zs are certainly more twitchy and nervous at the limit. Favorite BMWs never owned? First gen M6, or maybe L7 just cause it was so rare. |

Favorite BMW? The 507. Way ahead of it's time. This is the 1957:
![]() I've only seen two in my life, and I remember both encounters. The 3.0CSi is another gorgeous car, but this was it's predecessor, and incredibly cool to me. |

Probably the E36 M3 as its what got me hooked on BMWs. My uncle had one in the early-mid 90's and took me for rides in it all the time. All I can remember is that it was FUN! Until my 1er comes ofcourse.
EDIT: 135th post woo! 135i 5 1/2 weeks!!! |
