Dedicated 128 Section Request...
I'd like to request a separate section dedicated specifically to the 128.
There are issues specific to the 128 that warrant a separate section, especially because this forum has a majority of threads focusing on the 135. Is this doable? |

Yea, I agree and the 135i should have its own section as well!!! Split 'em up!

Well, if I were to give my opinion (yeah, I know opinions are like.... ), my feeling is that we have a dedicated forced induction forum already, but the cars are virtually identical other than those couple of snails bolted on. The posts you are talking about are in that one subforum.
Besides don't you want to point fingers at the 135i guys and laugh for spending even more cash on these cars already? |

Different suspension Different weight Different wheels Different driving experience Minor interior and exterior differences Different price tag Different standard features To me, that represents enough differences to warrant separate sections. |

My worst fear would be that people feel shunned, superior, or inferior due to segregation. That is not what this site is about. I've seen other BMW sites where people get told to "go back to your place" for being a 325 owner posting in a 335 subforum. That is terribly wrong, in my mind. Separate subforums almost encourage that bad site karma to propogate. :iono: |

Then which group gets to sit in the front of the bus and which has to sit in the back
Seriously though, thanks for the suggestion but what we'll probably do (once there's a need) is break out a separate N52 engine tuning subforum. |

I would think that there should be, as with most vehicle related forums, a separate section for at least the other side of modification. We have a turbo (135i) section, a suspension section, etc., etc. but no N/A section. That doesn't seem really fair for those that may not want to spend $40k on a turbo'd car but do eventually want to upgrade their 128i power-wise...
