oil filter?

Hey guys,
planning on changing my oil this weekend. I went thru the DIY but I can't find which oil filter to use. Help?

This is what is on the oil filter box 11 42 7 566 327 Did you not try and get the BMW filter? I would suggest so because there is no aftermarket one available. The filter comes with a small rubber ring and a large rubber ring as well as a copper metal ring that goes on the drain pan. The filter cap was a bitch to get off.

You need to go to your local BMW dealer and buy the filter. $10.50 a filter. Wix supposesively made an aftermarket one that i tried but it did not fit. USE THE STOCK FILTERS until someone more reputable makes an oil filter for our cars.

OEM filters are usually the best anyway! I heard you can buy the filters cheaper from Bavauto.

i think i bought 10 of them from Bavauto.......@$9.95 each

Yeah I thought it was you but wasn't sure so didn't mention who. Thats cheaper than the dealer. It's cheaper for me at teh dealer since I have to pay for crazy shipping charges! Plus I use the BMW CCA discount!

.50 cents cheaper, I dont think .50 will break someones budget. lol Easier to go right to the dealer and buy a bunch of em instead of being shipped and waiting and paying for shipping. lol
