It's not a matter of being sexist at all. It's more of a matter of deciding by objectively viewing the two situations.

Equal. But most people I have asked personally say it's worse for the wife...

If people view it as "it's worse for the wife", I have to assume that they also think the man is the breadwinner, and a woman's place is no more than a recipient of the provider. Therefore, she has less leniency. I'd also assume there's a bit of Archie Bunker there, or it's just a cultural difference that I cannot understand. :iono:

i would assume it would matter on who runs the household or as larry mentioned, who's the breadwinner. So i guess ill go with equal.

It is horrible no matter who does it because it destroys not just the person being cheated on but also any kids that may be involved. I know, because I did it and have had to live with it. I ended up getting divorced and remarried to the woman I cheated with but it still messed up the kids simply for my benefit.
