MP3 ID-tags burning via ASCI???

I burn my CD's via Nero. I see the full title of the ID3-tag. So that displays correclty. But that's only with the song that is playing. The other songs names are not shown fully. Only the first 8 caracters are shown. That is because of the ASCI format i guess.

There is a guy on this forum who made a movie how to format your CD's via NERO in such a way that all titles are shown correctly. That's the way I am burning, but it won't help me.

When I don't burn it ASCI but I take ISO 9660 then I see the full line, but the spaces are changed to underscores. I don't like that either.

Anybody an idea?

I had the same problem as you but I did this and it worked:

Choose no multi session disc
In the tab 'ISO' choose these: Iso 9660 + Joliet, level 2 (max of 31 characters) and ASCII.

I see the full mp3 name now and don't have any underscores.

Yesterday, after I typed my post I tried it another time.

Data Mode : Mode 2 / XA
File System: Iso 9660 + Joliet
level 2 (max of 31 characters)
and ASCI.

This worked as well for me. Tnx, Metal for replying.

Tried it too and it works perfectly. Even on cheap bulk media (platinum)
And I thought I had to live with the abbreviated 8 character display which in fact was quite something since I was at least able to play MP3 and have 'm displayed.
Great tip! Thanks, made my car even more interesting. A friend of mine is getting the ipod interface installed @ his dealer in Belgium. Wonder if it has any advantages over the mp3 cd's.
