Daytime running lights
According to the brochure I have on the E92, it says the Corona headlight rings can be used as daytime running lights. Does this mean that they will be on whenever the engine is running, like what they have in the US/Canada? Presumably this is a programmable option??
Can anyone shed any light on this? |

I assume this will be similar for the e92. I don't know how you can do that without idrive, unless the there is a way of doing it with the indicator stalk settings button. Otherwise, I assume it will be a 'stealer' programmable option. Viv |

Cheers for reply vivekk. Is it likely to be the case that if you don't have idrive then the dealer would have to program it?
Is the same true for drive-away locking? Is this programmable through idrive? Z4B Quote:

I think it must be programmable if you don't have idrive. I was recently getting a lift in a dealers courtesy car and just after we drove off the doors locked automagically.

The doors do that in my E90 and I don't have i-drive. Bit miffed about thios idea of charging for diff settings if not done at PDI as my car is a lease car and surprisingly Stratstone Taplow didn't ask me how I wanted it setting up...

The auto locking can be set using the indicator stalk on none i-drive cars..
I set it on mine. It's really easy, but do read the owners manual or you will end up turning things on and off that you didn't want to

Based on the e90 info, you should be able to program DRLs, drive-away locking etc using the indicator stalk, on the e92. Viv |

excellent so it also looks like you can set whether the car flashes the indicators on lock/unlock as well as the length of time the pathway lighting stays on for after you switch off the ignition. I would be tempted to have the daytime running lights switched on right through winter when during the day it can actually be fairly dull (up here in Scotland anyway  )

Is there a PDF manual that you can view online somewhere that has all this info?

I use this quite frequently - useful for lighting the pathway to the door of your house when dark etc |
