There are people I know of in Aus running Vishnu (Proceed) , Burger MS (Juicebox)and Turbo Tuners.

So which have you had issues with?

It's not so much the Turbo Tuner it's the opportunistic retailers out there. Originally purchased mine from Powerchip Australia....!!!! They advertised it as a Powerchip and suupplied me a Split Second Turbo Tuner...!!

The exact same product that can bought of Ebay for $530US. Other suppliers in OZ are selling them for $730...!!!!

They apparently offer a 14 day Unconditional Money Back Garuntee. Yeh right........it's been 9 months now and they still refuse to give me back my money.

Message of the day. Keep well clear from Powerchip Australia

You gotta be careful when you buy these things.

Besides when you consider exchange rates, freight, duty and GST $730 isn't too bad.

Keep away from them boys. My understanding is that Powerch actually don't make anything and simply import their products from other countries and put a sizeable markup on them. I also beleive that they do not even test their products either as they do not even have a dyno. Yoiu should fine the link below somewhat interesting into the insight of Powerchip.

Ps: Still have not refunded my money as yet. Took them to court..............beat them, and they refuse to pay. Nice company to deal with hey...!!

Do yourself a favour and purchase your products direct from the states. They'll turn up in 7 days and you'll save a heap of cash

Sorry to here about your troubles. That Wayne Besanko of Powerchip sounds like a real work of art. His business practices are deplorable. What sort of tuning company has never dyno developed any of their car tunes??
All I can say is TAKE A WIDE BIRTH and STEER CLEAR.

PM me if you want some advice on a real tune that will show gains your butt won't mistake (this car is an animal waiting to be unleashed).........+ 100whp

Tell me what you've done Sparky 66. I've added a free flow air filter, Turbo Tuner, Eibach suspension, upgraded the brakes and many cosmetical enhancements. Free flow exhausts are on their way as well as as an intercooler :-)

The split second Turbo Tuner is phenomenal. Added 32kws and 80nm. I'll get some shots up soon.

SSTT is good for a small increase, however be concerned about diagnostic invisibility if you get a progman update beyond 29.2. Additionally it won't take advantage of your supporting mods such as FMIC, Exhaust and Intake improvements. But it is easy to remove should the need arise which is an advantage.

I'd suggest you consider PROcede V3, very reliable tune with 8~10 users I know of in the country (including 1 in Perth from memory). Has a good software interface to enable trouble free map updates via the www and data logging to assist in trouble shooting.

Other alternative is JB3, I know of only 1 user in Aus but there is probably more. Map updates involve getting a new chip posted to you, no data logging as yet either. Some conjecture at the moment as to how / if it alters timing which may or may not be important to the end user (i.e. your call if you think it's important or not).

Happy modding.

Cheers,

S

Go for JB3. You will never look back.
There are many here in Aus.
Better and smoother drivability, same or better fuel consuption, 50+kw and 100nm at the wheels and easy to fit.
go to http://www.n54tech.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=3 and learn more.

We were doing Active Autowerke Xede's in the early days 2006, 2007 and then we moved over to the Active Autowerke Active Processor. We have standard tunes available, upgraded tunes for Downpipes, Intercoolers, intakes, and exhausts. We can upgrade to race fuel and have maps available. We have Methanol kits available and will be able to set a tune from your Active Processor as well very soon, a kit is on a car now and doing testing.
