E92 Suspension vs. E92 M3

I am interested in Moton as my suspension upgrade. In particular the Clubsport series. When I contact Moton they said that they have the kit for the E92 M3 but that they don't have the necessary specs for the E92 335ci in this case to determine if their kit will work?

They are not sure if the suspension used on the E92 platform is the base for the M3 or if they are in any shape the same. If they were then they are confident that they can make the M3 kit work on our 335ci (sport or non-sport).

Is there's anyone here that can either confirm or deny that the 335i suspension geometry and specs are the base platform for the M3 please let me know

Moton is also checking with their contacts to confirm, hopefully someone with sure knowledge about both suspensions can chime in.

I am sure that the M3 suspension is definitely different in settings compared to ours, but if the parts are the same then the valving etc. can be reworked.

I have sport package on mine....

it does. but it should have nothing in comon with the geometry. just some more servos and control units integrated with the rest of the car electronics

so the parts used regardless if spring rates/dampning/electronic controls are not the same?

cause Moton believes (still verifying) that parts are the only similarities in suspension on both cars...

mounting brackets, points, hardware, etc...

There are significant differences. I would be surprised if a M3 kit could be adapted. But Moton rocks.

I dont know, sorry, I just said it has nothing in common with the geometry. It does not necessarily mean the geometry is the same. They should announce a request to get a 335i for testing in their area, should not be that difficult.

yeah, I hear what you are saying, it may be overkill BUT the fact that most people drop thousands on suspension upgrades I figured if I do go for an upgrade might as well go with the BEST out there?!

I am keeping my 335 for life (or until wheels fall off) and I expect to track the car in future. Whether autocross, track days, driving school, etc. so you can't go wrong with a great suspension upgrade and Motons are one of the best but with exception of cost.....

I was really leaning towards the TCKline DA's w/ camber plates to handle it all and these are reasonable in price. Motons would be around 4-5K for full kit from what I hear.

Still, it would be nice to know that Moton did offer something for the series suspension upgrades in our 335's - don't you agree?

M3 has a different front strut dimension than non-M. Semi-interchangable otherwise, but that only gets you semi-there... We do have some other options for 335.

Just finished testing the Moton Street Sport kit a couple of weeks ago at Sebring on the M3 - nutty stuff.

There have been plenty of threads in this section that deal with this topic.
The M3 shocks are completely different.
