HiFi Upgrade Clarification
Hi All,
320d touring with the stock audio (Professional Radio) and stock crappy speakers. I had the HiFi upgrade previously in my one series and loved it. So... I'm interested in doing the OEM Alpine upgrade although that deals with only the front speakers (not the ones in the rear passenger doors). There are no speakers in the parcelshelf like there were in the one series either. - Firstly, are the stock subs the same between basic audio and HiFi audio? - Secondly, would the alpine OEM upgrade drive SWS 8s? I see these are really the only alternative sub and from the various threads on here seem like a good bet. Does anyone know where to source them in the UK? - would anyone recommend going with a completely different amp and speaker sets than the alpine? This way perhaps they could drive the rear ones too. I was pretty pleased with the HiFi upgrade in the old car, a bit more bass would be great but in general it was enjoyable. - what are the current options for integrating the iphone 3G/ipods for music. Is there a clear winner here? - is there such a thing as a service manual for the e91 publically available, for instance getting bits of trim off and getting the carpets up at the rear to see what's there isn't that obvious (in the 5mins i had a poke around today) many thanks in advance paul |
