Hamann, Lumma and Mattig all have shown eyebrows in their photos.

Here's links to each of their threads in the photo gallery:

Personally, I don't think any of these headlight mods change the overall shape or look. I think they are aggressive looking already - in fact, that is what drew me to the car. But, to each his own.

I think the eyelids look cheap and tacked on... The car is wonderfully designed and they just cheapens it. I've never liked eyelids. They seem to appears on cars when they get to a certain age, when the car's beeing slightly outdated or having the '"wrong" owner.

i understand there are always gonna be mods that some people love and some people hate. its a great thing because otherwise every modded car would like idenctical. and that wouldnt be fun.
i do think its funny that someone can think the eyelids look "cheap" when the most expensive e90s in the world right now(the ones that THESE tuners own) are also the only ones with eyelids.
think about that.....

Wow, pretty stern. All these cars look the same, I see no reason and actually like the idea of individualized vehicles. Just because you like something one way, does not make it wrong for someone else. That's why there is vanilla, chocolate and more!

I fully agree with you!
I've never understood how someone sees the eyelids as a cosmetic upgrade. It's just wrong, IMO.

To each his own. Personally I think a subtle eyelid could look nice and add a slightly different look... like some have said, it's fun to customize and individualize your car.

I agree with Killdork!

It seems we generally have different ideas and views in different parts of the world when it comes to customizing cars.

Here in the UK, customizing a new BMW other than adding OEM accessories or parts from AC Schnitzer or Alpina, is generally considered a big no, no and it can hammer the resale value. The same applies to other prestige makes e.g. Mercedes and AMG/Brabus etc. Chrome wheels on a BMW in the UK would be laughed at.............I hope I never see one!

Color choice is also very important. White seems popular in the US but in the UK it can knock £1000-£2000 of the resale value in the first 3 years!

At the end of the dayI think we're all agreed that if you bought the car, you can customize it as you wish.........you've got to live with it just don't expect others to like it!

Webcoll,

Out of interest, why would white knock-down resale value in the UK?

Chrissal,

It's always been that way with BMWs, Mercs, Audis, Jags and other prestige cars in the UK.

I've worked in the motor trade and white prestige cars are very difficult to sell on so dealers have to discount them accordingly.

I think it may be because in the UK, white is associated with service vehicles such as Police cars, and most vans are white. Most car drivers in the UK hate 'white van drivers' because of the way they drive!

Many unmarked Police cars are white in the UK as well, as are many cabs (outside of London). I guess we don't like to be associated with those sorts of vehicles.

White also considered to be the worst colour to keep clean especially as our weather is so changeable although I find black is just as bad.

Most of our new BMWs, Jags, Audis and Mercs are bought in silver, silver grey, graphite, black, and dark metallic blues. Red is another unpopular colour on any of these cars.

I personally like white on the E90's I've seen on this site. I've yet to see one in the UK and probably won't.

We don't like any over-use of chrome on our cars either as it's generally considered to be too flash.

That's us Brits for you!

Interesting. I originally wanted a jet black E90, but I changed my mind and went with the white after seeing one on the street.
