Trouble with smartphone integration
I have an 09 335 with smartphone integration. The adapter for the iphone fits great, but the iphone doesn't charge when it's in the cradle like it's supposed to. Also, the cellphone reception is worse when the phone is cradled--BMW says the reception should be improved because the car's antenna in used when the phone is cradled. Anybody have any experience with this?

Hello everyone. New around here, this is my first post.
I just took delivery of my '09 335i on Monday, and I've had my iPhone connected without the smartphone kit (bluetooth/iPod adapter) almost constantly. I find the call/signal quality to be vastly improved over just using the phone. I do get the dialog when connected that it is not compatible, and will not charge...however my battery is always full. What is so great about the smartphone kit that you would not get with Bluetooth? If there isn't much, I'd see if you can remove it and get another acc. for the price paid. -a |

I'd have them make sure they connected the cradle to the cars' electronics properly.
