Michelin Alpine PA3s
I'm running 225/18/40 on all four corners and was wondering what other people thought of them. I hardly drive this car so I went with these because I thought ride quality and noise would be better. But man I don't feel very safe with these when there is snow on the ground. Dry weather these tires are amazing but with snow and ice I find them horrible.

PA3s are definately biased toward the dry, however, they are still a snow tire, so compared to other tires, they stick pretty well, but you will still get lots of wheel spin in the dry, so "amazing" doesn't come to mind, but rather "pretty good for a snow tire" does.
In the snow and slick conditions, similar thing, "Ok" comes to mind rather than "horrible". So this tire is a good all-around winter tire IMO, and is what I use for the conditions I face - mostly cold and dry with a handful of 0.5-4" snows, and for the worst conditions, I have a Jeep to drive. For stronger snow performance you would want to select something like Dunlop Wintersport M3's, but dry performance will be less, though nothing like the old Blizzak W50s. Sounds like you prefer the confidence of a tire biased toward snow.

Most of the reviews I have read said they were great in deeper snow, I was just wondering if it was just me. I have a XI and like I said above I really have no confidence in them especially on snowy highways. Next year I will be changing to something "biased towards snow".
