Aerolip OEM Group Buy
Hey all,
Just noticed a common 'want' on this forum is the Aerolip spoiler. I've been quoted £299 delivered for one sprayed up from Chris at Derek Woodman BMW. He is very well regarded in the Mini forums and has supplied a lot of mini special offers to those guys. Just wondering how many folks want one, and if any one know where its possible to get one for a better price then this? Happy to approach chris to get a sharper price, then folks could pay direct to him and get a BMW receipt etc for resale.

Well i dont think it would void a warranty as its bought from BMW and its a BMW part.
From what i know about fitting its fitted by sticky strips ... though more then happy to be corrected on this.

Think its bonded on. I wouldnt mind one but not wanting to pay anywhere near free 'undred quid for one. That cash could be spent better else where.

NOW I DUNO WHERE TO START?.... called Cobham today...spoke to the Parts Manager, he said the BMW AERO FRONT LIP parts only would cost £200 Circa excluding VAT... He then said that the parts would need painting...so he will refer me to the Workshop Staff and they would quote me on Paint and Fitting... Got a call a few hours later and the Workshop guy said that it would cost £720....total!!!!! and he said that this was the "cheap" option, as he would advice me to get the whole bumper painted, so that it "blends" in.... I don't understand, how come its so bloody expensive to paint and fit that small front lip!!!...or I am missing sumfin here? Called Tring Specialist cars....and they quoted me £500....(thats including a discount that my salesman got me, since i'm getting the car from them) Even at £500 ....I DO FEEL THAT ITS BLOODY EXPENSIVE!!!.... anyone has bought and fitted that AERO Front Lip from a BMW dealership before?....any advice?.... The guy at Tring said that its the painting that cost the most ... But the guy at Cobham said that the labour only is about£140 per hour..... I was budgeting for £350 max.... £200 parts £150 painted and fitted... I don't know what to do now...Should I venture buying the parts painted and then fit it myself? I am so crap at DIY...i can't even change a lightbulb!!!! Anyone in the UK fitted the BMW AERO LIP? How did you guys do it? and whats the best way? (Dealership or DIY?) |

if you take your time and have someone to help you with a couple of clamps they are not that hard to fit but they need to be left overnight to cure the adhesive.

£299 was parts, painted and delivered!
If you are form up north and can collect from Derek Woodman BMW you can prob get a few quid off the postage. Im going to drop chris another line to ask what sort of discount would be available if we were to buy a few - say 5??
