Labor Allowance FRU

Hi,

I am looking for a definition(or table) of labor allowances for various dealer shop labor; oil service, etc.

I see that it is listed on SIBs as a certain number of FRUs. What is a FRU in hours?

Thanks

Wallyf

Hooray for pay cuts! 20% pay cut on warranty work really hurts...
FRU stands for Flat Rate Unit by the way.

Any info on the KSD?

volkswackin,

Thanks for the info. I kinda guested that it was something like that.

Many of the SIBs refer to the KSD. Do you know if there is any info on the KSD posted on the E90 Forum? I am reluctant to get involved with the .torrent downloads.

FRU Values for typical services

SoCalTech,

I am interested in the allowed time in FRUs (or hours) for typical BMW dealer services;
1) Vehicle Check
2) Standard Scope
3) Microfilter replacement
4) Engine oil service
5) Brake fluid service
6) Brake pads front
7) Brake pads rear
8) Engine coolant change
9) Spark plug replacement

I want to figure out wheither I want to perform some of these services or let the dealer perform them as the services come up.

Thanks

Wallyf

Please note that warranty time is NOT what we charge customers.
