Is this the proper OEM alarm part number?
For 2007 E93 - 328 - United States:
PN: 65 73 0 427 835 I copied and pasted from my dealer's website. (Sorry if there aren't dashes, or periods or anything, this is how they have it listed.) Says the price is $175 USD; installed: $358. I looked up some other threads and found people to be paying way more than this, so I was a little hesitant. This is the description of it on their site: Anti-theft Alarm System Electronic monitoring system that responds to an unauthorized opening of the doors and engine/luggage compartments with acoustic and visual alarms. Can be activated/ deactivated with the remote control. (PN: 65 73 0 427 835) (Price:$175.00) Installed Price: $358.00 Each price is the retail center price and is subject to change. Price excludes taxes. This will make it chirp when I lock and unlock it, right? And the clown nose will blink? I'm very paranoid about the car! I need to try and let go of where I park it, etc. and just enjoy her. Thanks!

I thought I had heard it was more than that also. And from what I've read around here, the 5 series has a chirp, the 3 has an annoying honk/beep.

Tischer has that part# listed for $140.00 but with an obscure description "install kit". Also Tischer has the alarm system listed as part #65120403658 for $215.00 shipped. I would verify with your dealer exactly what it is they are selling.

The BMW alarm should have a moment sensor (so you can't jack the car up on a tow truck and take it away) and a movement sensor inside. Neither of those features are described above, which is suspicious.
