What color breyton gts' should i get?

I have a 2006 330i in titanium silver, i need some help deciding what color wheels to get. Im for sure going with the breyton race gts wheels but idk if i want them in matte gray or black painted. What will look better? Also if i get 18" wheels and i already have the sports package suspension how much do i need to lower it to look good?

go with VMR V710s instead. similar design

i had horrible luck with the breytons, they're gravity cast and fairly light weight. i bent/cracked 3 of the race gts in matte grey. they looked awesome, but they're poorly constructed.

gravity casting is the weakest form of wheel manufacture. OEM wheels are low pressure cast, making them denser. usually, a gravity cast wheel is heavier than a low pressure cast wheel, having to use more material to make up for the less dense casting thats a result of using gravity to fill the mold.

the breytons are somehow lighter than both my OEM 18s and my low pressure cast VMR V715s. my wheel guy that was swapping tires off of the breytons commented that it appears that the wheels had material flaws, or were made to barely pass impact standards. the two that cracked had cracks running around the circumference of the barrel of the rims, about 1/3-2/3rds around. total garbage. my tires sustained NO damage, so the hits they took were moderate.

I think it may depend on how often you wash / detail the wheels + tires. When I see pictures of black wheels, many times the tires are grey, which looks odd to me. I think it'll look better when the tires are shined and look as black as the wheels.

I had the opposite experience. I hit quite a few potholes, and was beginning to think I'm immune to them when I got into trouble I ripped a tire sidewall, and the wheel had a small curb-rash (but did not break). Perhaps you had a bad batch of wheels. Or maybe I got an above average one

I've not heard too much about Breyton quality actually. There was a closed thread on VMR quality, I think people were complaining about the finish and number of weights needed to balance the wheels. It would be great to have dedicated threads that document each individual user's experiences. Then again, we may suffer from the effect of the "only those with bad experiences will be vocal" syndrome.

But at least the wheels are lighter than OEM

I think both look very good. Black is a little more bold IMO.
