Have you made a lot of changes to your order before production date?

Well, now I'm kinda embarrassed to call my CA with yet another change.I went from Montego Blue with creime beige to MB with black interior, from auto to manual.
Then from MB with black interior to AW with saddle brown interior, now I'm thinking about going back to MB with black interior.(it might not even be possible at this juncture)
At first I was on the fence about the tranny but after driving the 6MT 335i,my decision was clear, manual is the only way to go for me with such a great powerplant. And it brought back a lot of great memories of my Golf GTI in my early twenties.

Gordon (the GM Vern Heide BMW) was even surprised that the system took the last change. These guys at my dealership are good people, easy to work with.

Either way,I think I'd be very happy with MB or AW.

lol dont worry your not the only one who keeps changing colors and options., try to analyze all your options then make a final decision then ask the dealer if he can still change it i think you can still change it a week before but im not sure hopefully. anyways goodluck on your choice!

+1 on the switch to manual. I don't see what's the big deal over changing options before production. It's better than seeing the car after it arrives, and then going...hmmm, I should have got...

You should test drive both,IMO the 6MT was much sweeter to drive,it's a fun car, with the auto I din't really feel the full impact 300hp/300 #/ft motor it felt a bit like my car not that much faster.
I spent a lot of time debating on whether to get the 6MT or the auto this time around but after the test drive it's 6MT without a doubt. Also I thought the engine sounded better coupled with the manual .
Oh,the auto was good too,I don't wanna come across as bashing the auto.

I originally ordered my 330i in Barrique Red but was concerned that there was too much purple in the color based on the 1 square inch chip in the brochure. I went to a dealer and they showed me a car they said was Barrique Red. It looked pink. It also looked dirty but when I ran my finger along the fender there was no dirt; the paint had no depth. I then went to another dealer and they showed a larger sample. But it matched the brochure with the purple. I never saw the color on a car but since I didn't want to drive a purple or, heaven forbid, pink car, I changed to Monaco Blue. A month later, six days before my car was built, I saw a Barrique Red 325i and kicked myself in the butt. But I'm happy with what I got. Can never go wrong with dark blue, IMO.

Never considered the blacks or the silvers. Wouldn't have a white although the Arctic white was a chameleon-like color. My truck is grey so I wanted something different with the BMW.

Quincy, I went through the same process of changing my mind on colour combos, but this was before seeing the actual car or any real samples.
It might be helpful for you to first decide on what interior you like best - saddle, black or perhaps grey instead of cream beige. Once you have made a decision on the interior, the exterior choice might be easier. If you haven't seen a cream beige interior in real life, it's very light, much lighter than grey. That's why I suggest you consider a grey interior (it would look awesome with grey poplar) with Montego blue.

I saw a Barrique Red with Terra, it was sweeeeeeet We were at Starbucks and my bro and I kept looking at it (parked right next to it) then I noticed this lady at Starbucks closely eyeing us, so I figured it was her's and she must've been like WTH

Anyway I went through a tough time deciding too.. Monaco (too dark), Mystic (too light!), Titanium, then finally Arctic. Barrique looked sweet but I didn't want to get terra, and I figured if I was to get it I HAD to get terra with it cos it looked great. However, when I finally placed my order I didn't switch.

I changed mine a couple times. My original order was for the black sapphire with black leatherette, no sport or premium, and xenons and Sirius as the only options. Then, I called and changed to alpine white. Then I added PDC. Finally, I added the sport package. Now it's on the way to the states, but I'm wondering if I've made the right choice on the transmission... I'm hoping it's easy to drive. I've been driving my mother's car as a loaner since I totaled my current (now old) car a couple weeks ago and it's a 6-speed manual and I'm starting to get REALLY tired of it... Of course, it's also not the easiest car to drive (Porsche Boxster S), so I'm hoping that my BMW will be significantly easier.

Anyways, i'd stick with something you can't go wrong with as stated previously. I would have gone with MB.. hopefully you'll be on the road soon!
