The reason I ask is there was another poster (who shall remain namelss at this time) who ranted over and over about how his V2 fix never happened. Got old after awhile.
Good luck with your situation.

Not to be a PITA, but the bypass plug substitution shows that an engine with some problems will throw limps with the Procede and not throw limps with the bypass plugs. That does not necessarily show that a non-problematic engine will throw limps with a Procede. Once the dealer gets the engine up to snuff, the substitution will then have more meaning. Now you only have to hope the dealer finds all the problems. This doesn't always happen and I wish you the best of luck.

If you're really serious about resolving your problem, you must put the car back to 100% stock and drive it for a period of time to determine if any issues still exist. Simply putting the bypass plugs in doesn't eliminate the system from the car. Intermittent limps or other issues that developed over time could be caused by problems like splices coming loose etc, and the only way to eliminate those it to go back to stock.
I'm another user who never had an issue with V2 that wasn't caused by me (bad wiring, poor splices, etc). The only reason I upgraded to V3 was to get the PNP so I could pull the system out in a matter of minutes rather than having to count pins ever again. The rest of the V3.x goodies were just icing on the cake, so to speak.

@BeepBeep, Tuned335i,
Thank you for your hints. The limps occured right after install in spring 2008 when the car was brand new. There were no issues with the engine at that time. I have tested different maps with Procede and also fully removed the box. The limps are reproducible and it doesn't happen without the box. I am currently using the most stable map. I am considering an upgrade to V3. Apparently the majority of the V2 users don't experience the problems that I struggle with. So, how can I be sure that this doesn't happen with V3? |

Remove all your tune - that means the Procede unit and the wire harness. You may have loosened a pin connection upon installation which has given you problems and the faults you are registering so all this is possibly self inflicted. Jumping the gun and flaming the Procede for these unfounded issues is premature, as many of us ran V2 without any dramas whatsoever. |

However, this has already been discussed with Shiv months ago and there was no doubt the V2 is the problem. Other V2 customers reported the same problems. That's why Shiv was going to fix the map which he obviously wasn't able to accomplish as stated above. Please give me a break with your allegations and the flaming nonsens. You're a happy customer, fine, others aren't for obvious reasons and we are here to discuss it. |

if his problems are not because of the tune all this will do is cause him to spend more $$ and still have problems. I had a boost leak that I couldnt find that caused limps and issues w V2, JBx, and Helix Attache. I thought it was tune, it wasnt.

If you're so convinced it's the Procede, remove it completely and organise it to be returned to Shiv so they can test the unit and harness............till then all you're doing is speculating. People are offering genuine advice....please use it and explore these options. |

So I worked behind the scenes to get it fixed first, but to no avail. I didn't want to come on this site and put the SSTT on blast b/c I knew I would get flamed and draw the wrath of members enjoying the tune. Although if I did, I would have been well within my right to do so. As you are. Afterwhile, I went with another product. |

Funny thing is that I didn't even intent to bash anyone. I just wanted some input on the low load issues. I was (and still am) somehow concerned that the SE will tell me that something broke and it was because of a tune. I have come to terms with my limps, hey, I might even miss them once they're gone. |
