I don't know what good those caps would do a heroin addict? Most likely just vandals. Little $h!ts.

Just been to the local BMW dealer. They had the caps with the plastic surround, £4.50 each, in stock. They had to order the ones with the chrome surround for me, at £2.50 each, i.e. £2 cheaper than the plastic. Makes no sense?

Chrome ones have a tendency to corrode... happened to my original ones. Now have the plastic surround ones!

I think the new ones from September 08 may be different to the ones you had Tony

This is the difference

The ones on the left look better are they the new ones? Sure they are the same as on my 5 Series as mine don't have any plastic round 'em.

An answer for those disappearing valve caps.

Auto 4 Ltd - http://www.auto4.co.uk, stocks the BMW OEM Silver/Grey Plastic Valve Stem Caps made by Alligator in Germany.

I purchased a pack of 50, so whenever a little sh*tte steals one, I simply screw on a new one for just 7.5p per cap! No stress, no hassle.

Regards the metal caps, you need to watch out with these as they can cause electrolysis between the metal cap and the threaded valve stem.

Hey Simon, I remember your original thread about those dust caps. Porka has the same ones so I'll add that company to 'my favourites'

Hey FieldingMellish

Late reply as I've been off the grid for a while.

Give them a call directly and quote the details below.
