Anyone have AAA for NJ or NY?

Hi guys,
I was just wondering if anyone has AAA in either NJ or NY. I'm just looking for feedback on either if its worth to have it or not, and also the benefits of having it. Since I'm a student, I'm able to get it for $46 a yr, so I'm really considering it right now.

Ive had it since I started driving. Only used it a couple times and that was for friends cars I was actually traveling in, not my own car. Oh yeah, Ive used it more than a few times to get discounts at hotels and renting cars.

Really cant hurt to have it. Plus its much cheaper than the BMW assist(or any other manufacturer for that matter).

Sorry not that I am aware of.

AAA is a great value as far as I am concerned. The hotel discounts are usually good at $20.00 or so per night. Also, they have travel guide books for every city in the us (and world I think). These are pretty substantial 100+ pg books with every good hotel, place to eat, go out, etc. Those guides are $0.00 for members. Order 100 and sell them to people. They also have discounts on things that don't even relate to cars like eyeglasses.

Costco, AAA, and PenFed are the best membership deals around.

BMW Assist is probably better for the towing services unless you want your car brought to a tire place of your choosing for tire replacement/repair at a reasonable rate. Then AAA wins because they don't give a damn about following BMW tire guidelines and will tow to any AAA affiliated (aka honest) shop.

AAA is good for hotel and travel and it's nice to be able to get a tow when you're a passenger in someone else's car (i.e. not a BMW) even if they don't have AAA.

AAA sells insurance through Liberty Mutual IIRC...when I was shopping around it wasn't the lowest so I didn't go with them.

And with AAA, you can go to their driving school for a fraction of the non-member price and get savings on your insurance and drop 2 points.

Eh its ok...my beater broke down on me once in the middle of the road...they got to me promptly but a regular tow came instead of a flatbed that i requested. They also only tow for the first 5 miles. Every mile after that is a additional $5.

I have AAA plus. Worth every penny. If you break down a tow truck will take you 100 miles anywhere. Great investment. If I use it once a year its worth it.
