Looking for a sport or M steering for my non-sport 330-a few questions
Hey, I'm looking to upgrade my non sport steering to either a sport or M steering wheel. I have a few questions. How much will the dealer charge to do this? Will those 2 steering wheels even fit on my car? If they will, will i also have to purchase a new airbag? Lastly, anyone have any to sell?

you will need to purchase an airbag which will make the conversion very expensive but other than that it is a very simple procedure...

If you want the steering wheel controls, you have to re buy them as well. You basically need the entire wheel, nothing is reusable from the non ZSP.
So obviously you can see why I didn't do it. Jesse |

Search for marcus's thread. He had a non-sport 325i, and had to buy the bracket and airbag because the M-Wheel uses the ZSP airbag, not the non-sport one.

One more thing. The clips for the airbags on the ZSP and non-ZSP steering wheels are different in how you release them.

Sometimes I don't understand people did not get the sport package ($1500) at the beginning, then later on decided to spend more on upgrades such as new steering wheels, 162 wheels. Not include sport seats + sport suspensions.
I didn't get the sport pkg because I thought it's too stiff, but after I got the car, I realized I made a tirrible mistake. I've kept kicking my ass for not getting it since. I still don't upgrade because it's too expensive compared to the original package. I'd rather save for the next one. For now, I keep my 330 as a family car.
