E93 335i auto figures

I've noticed that the 335i auto is a fraction faster and has a better MPG rating then the manual which is confusing when the other models its the other way round.

Has the 335i got a unique auto gearbox and do these figures apply to 2007 models as well?

Is it because the 335i is fitted with the DCT instead of Step auto?

Most probably. Can you not get the normal auto with the the 335i just the DCT and manual?

Yep, almost certainly, the M3 also quotes quicker 0-62 times and an extra mile per gallon or so, with the DCT option fitted

Better 0-60 and better MPG. Win win.

Just noticed you have a 325i in E93 form. What do you think of the engine in a vert?

It is a good engine but could do with a tad more power at times. Lovely and smooth, sounds sweet with the roof down and 'on-song' - the vert is quite a bit heavier than the coupe and I think this just takes the edge off this engines power IMO.

Yup, the new DCT 7 speed that replaced the 6 speed auto is slightly faster then the manual 6 speed
