Ok so im finally going to get my windows tinted and i want to know what percentage other NJ members recommend. I know its illegal to get the fronts tinted but i want to know what i will be able to get away with without to much hassle from the cops. I live in Hunterdon County if that helps.

I was thinking 20% or 35% but i don't want to be pulled over everyday for it.

go with 35% all around to be on the safe side, like mine

i got 5 percent all around and 35 percent on the front windshield

i get pulled over hourly

Probably not much of a problem when you're stopped on the side of the road hourly...

if you have light interior go 20
if you have dark interior go 35

and Steve, yea when i saw your car i could not see in it..lol
i could never go that dark, i couldnt see shit at night.

ok 35% was what i was leaning towards. my car is jet black with black interior so it should be dark enough

just guess and hit the gas usually...

haha syke nah, you get used to it, rolling down the windows when making turns, etc

front windshield is pretty good surprisingly, headlights help alot

just gotta watch for pedestrians when you turn

I'll be getting 20% but thats only because i have light gray interior

i tinted the front because those two pillars that are part of the grey headliner show through the windshield real nasty

Im thinking about getting the black headliner now too, that shitll be real dark

Go with 20%...better to go a little darker than regret not going dark enough.

Depends on where you are in NJ sum towns harass you and other really pay lil to no attention to it in my experience!!! I've had tinted windshields and no inspection sticker on 2 vehicles of mine....

I have no front plate, all 6 windows tinted, black car, tinted license plate cover, cars loud

thats why they bother me

if you have 20% you shouldnt get bothered too much

35% 3m check out Sams tint in Nanuet
