Maybe some of us couldn't find the car we wanted with xenons and had to settle for halogens.

yup! for me, the choice was either get navigation or the xenon but not both as i wanted because they just didnt have a config that i wanted so i chose the car with the navigation ... yea i miss the xenon's and hope to get my halogen's replace one day but whenever i put my ipod on and get the full screen display, im happy i dont have to scroll thru my playlist on a tiny one/two line dot matrix display ...

I think it's kind of pathetic that the 3 series doesn't come with Xenons standard, especially with a base price of $34,000. There are plenty of less expensive cars that come with them stock, but BMW sure loves to nickle and dime you to death.

i would def go xenons over navi anyday of the week. btw hope all is well Allan. to be honest, a dealer is never going to touch your wiring cuz if something goes wrong then they are responsible and they dont want that mess. what you should have done was buy the lights from someone on here and just have them install it instead of doing the wiring yourself and then letting them clean it up.

BMW North America loves these cases. For me personally I take pictures of what will be worked on when going to BMW before, bring it in and make sure they do the work right, confirming by pictures. Always carry a camera in your car (stupid point and shoots/cheap) because you never know when they will be useful (accidents/getting pulled over by the cops that got nothing better to do.)

As for the service from what I what I read (always two sides to a story) I would give them all 0's based on the fact that the SA was straight up bitch. As for the manager never being around, that is usual, I guess he is not around meaning he is not visible? Trust me, he is there, just in his office watching above.

At my dealer when work is to be performed I make sure I have it written out exactly in wiring how I want it, then signed off on by me and BMW (dealer.) With the pictures and the signed off contract + small claims court = win win.

Keep us updated, again sorry for your misunderstanding.

You're right. Why didn't I think of that. Hmm.

Thanks Jamie. My xenon conversion is now error-free thanks to parachute's kit. The only reason I considered having it re-done by the dealer then was because they offered it after I mentioned it to them. For a decent price I thought it was a great deal to make my conversion "official". Unfortunately I just happened to deal with a clueless SA with a really bad character.

The issue was never resolved by the dealer and I stopped following up on it. The manager initially showed some effort to fix it but when it slowly dragged on I just decided to let it go. I fixed it myself but obviously the wiring is not great.

personally i read a lot of your comments and you guys dont have to settle with whats left at the dealer just have it ordered with everything you want...... thats what i did. I mean yeah sure you have to wait 2 months for it to come from germany but hey at least you know your car has everything you want and dont have to go through the hassel of converting or changing or upgrading.... i got my 335xi sedan with everything n it was worth the wait.....

I'm just curious, who was your SA when you visited Princeton? If you don't want to put the name out there at least give me some initials. I'd like to avoid this person if I ever go there.
