A few ED questions

I am doing ED on Nov. 1st. What is the best way to get form the airport in Munich to pick up the car. I got a hotel that is 100 meters from the main train. Would that be the best way to get back after I drop the car off? I know its not good to drive the car that fast due to the break in period, kinda sucks since I am in Germany. I think I heard you can get a loaner to drive that in case you dont want to drive you car? That would be awsome but I wonder if it an option and what the cost would be. Anyone hear of this?

Thanks,

James

Who gave you the loaner story? It's absolutely wrong info.

Go to bimmerfest.com and there's a whole ED Forum and you can contact Rolf who'll be more than happy to pick you up at the airport and drive you to the ED Center, if he is available that day for a very fair fee. Otherwise, take the train into town and then take the subway to the ED Center. Other option is taxi. Taxi is not really that bad because the Delivery center is between the airport and town.

Rolf will pick you up and take you to the delivery center for a fee (40euros I think) If Rolf is busy, he has friends who might not be.
Depending on when you drop off in relation to your flight out, many take a taxi to the airport from the Harms agent.

it's really hard to tell how the weather will be in November, it varies from year to year, but from my past experiences, it wasn't too cold.

I went the 2nd week of Nov. and the first couple of days were cold, but then it was better later in the week. I just checked a picture of my speedometer that day and it was 41. I don't believe it made it much above 45 most days.

The 4-Points Sheraton by the BMW headquarters is towards the NW corner of town. The drop-off is basically directly north of town between the city and the airport, so it's not too close nor too far.

BMW Museum is 10 min walk from BMW factory tour. BTW, did you reserve your tour? Strongly recomended!
You can ask during drop off that they call taxi for you. Taxi will take to your hotel or airport. I read few stories when Rolf pick up for a fee from drop off location.
If you have more question - PM me, will happy to help.
Congratulation with your new car and have a safe and pleasure trip.
