Mounting tires myself. Question about tread direction

Sorry if this is a stupid question or has been asked before but I'm mounting my snow tires on tomorrow. I noticed the treads are not symmetrical so there must be a front direction and a rear direction. How are you supposed to mount them? The tires are Dunlop Wintersport 3Ds.

Thanks,

DD

It should either have an arrow on the sidewall that points in the direction of rotation, or it will say "inside" or "outside" on the sidewall, to let you know how to mount it.

So your mounting rims on your car. You are not mounting the tires.

wintersport 3d's are directional so there will be an arrow on there somewhere which will show whether they go on the left or right

make sure the arrow is pointing towards the front

Thanks.

I found that out the hard way after already mounting the tires. I noticed there were white and orange chalk lines and then saw the direction arrow. I had to remount the 2 of the rims.

Make sure the arrow is pointing towards the front while on the top of the sidewall. (it will point towards the rear of the car when it is on the bottom sidewall)
