any chipped 535 #'s?

I searched, didn't find anything. Only one I see on dragtimes.com is 14.0 in the 1/4, can't remember the mph. Apparently the exhaust is much more limiting on the 5'er than the 335. But I still haven't seen any #'s on a JB or PROcede 535.

i emailed Shiv about it, but no reply yet, as I imagine he's pretty busy. Does anyone have some numbers? Dyno graphs are good too, other than the one that Shiv posted. It was pretty good.

I also can't find any exhausts for the 535 other than custom setups.

dyno numbers are the same as all N54 engines. just tune expect over 60 Rwhp over stock

Is that at the wheels or crank? I'm guessing wheels?

It's my understanding that the 535's are consistenly putting down less at the wheels, both stock and tuned, than the 135/335's. Presumably due to the exhaust and (alleged) garbage intake setup compared to said cars.

No, they're not
They are even different for some 335i
135i and 535i will have slightly different results on dyno from 335i

I would say different exhaust setup is the reason

what a difference 10 plus or minus hp... of course every dyno reads differently but you will still be getting a lot more power than stock . lets say 50 hp so everybody is happy

Yes, there's quite a few PROcede 535i's; a couple are on E90Post.com. Maybe one will chime in???? As far as numbers go, the dynos will be similar, but the 1/4 mi. times will be a bit slower due to the 535i's heavier weight and more restrictive exhaust, etc.

Have you run in the 1/4?

I'd be more than happy if it was in the 12 second range. It'd literally be 1/1000 times of driving that I'd do something like that, since I have 2 girls that I'd never drive like that while they're in the car. But to have that on hand, is nice to know.

What exhaust options are there? I have searched on e60.net as well. Seems the only routes are some Magnaflow (puke) muffler, or a custom setup which I don't have the capacity for right now. I wouldn't trust any shops here in San Antonio to do a quality job on a new BMW. I think Dinan has a catback system, but I've read that it drones. Ideally I would just want something that flows better than stock, but is just as quiet. The drone is a complete turn off.

Yeah there are a couple of tuned 535, but a heavily modded one, I don't think I have seen one on this forum! It would be nice to actually see one with full custom exhaust!!

Vishnu replied to my email, stating about 390HP at the crank with his Procede, and another 10-20 with the dual cone air intake. That's really nice to hear. I know the exhaust is the choker at that point.

Does anyone have experience with an aftermarket downpipe for the 5? I believe there is at least one of them. I had it bookmarked, let me try to see if I can find who sold them. I think it was Auto Exotic or something like that?

RE: DCI's...make sure you do your research....there's a reason why I decided to go with the set-up I have...not discrediting any manufacturers of DCI's...just do your own research and choose what makes sense to you.....

Wow, my search skills leave much to be desired. Thanks geneatals! I wonder if it has the drone while under driving conditions. It otherwise sounds / looks perfect, other than a little loose on the install, lol.

This is making it easier and easier to go for the 5 over the 3.

I assume DCI = dual cone intake? I'd love some pointers here, really, all opinions are welcome.
