Does a re-map change the Eff. Dynamics or the shift change points?

Just curious if a re-map will change the way the auto stop start works as mine seems to not cut out much at all any more, maybe it is just colder and I only do short 15 min journeys mainly? it did auto stop yesterday after a 30 min drive, but it use to auto stop after a 1/2 mile or so from cold. Also do the eff dynamics shift numbers still correspond after a remap? are thet set up for the original map?

When I had mine remapped it made no difference at all to the ED stuff - auto start/stop etc all workign the same as before, as are the shift messages.

Auto start / stop doesn't operate if it's below 5deg C outside (so the dealer told me when they loaned me a car with it)

Even when above 5degC, it will then only work when the engine is fully warm.

edit - those ridiculous shift messages telling you you should be in fifth by 25 miles an hour! cobblers. I was always in second when it was saying '5'

I have the exact opposite experience as I find the shift messages seem quite accurate. It won't suggest fifth until the speed is 40+ and it suggests down shifting just before the engine starts to labour the slightest touch.

Only thing that is a bit weird is that if you are coasting in sixth (with therefore no fuel consumption at all) it does pop up with fifth or fourth even though I could drift right down to about 20 - and save fuel.
