Top of the dash is not leather. Middle of door panels and entire seat are leather if you have ZPP. I'm pretty sure the shift and parking brake boots are leather. I don't know about the center storage bin cover, but it feels like leather so I use leather cleaner/conditioner on it.

The seat backs (facing the rear seating area) are plastic though, regardless of the color of the seats themselves. The center storage bin cover is definitely leather, but I believe the shift and parking brake boots are vinyl.

This is easy to see on a car like mine whose leather surfaces are a different color than the plastic (black interiors are difficult). See the pics below--if it's light in color (Oyster) it's leather, if not, it's plastic or vinyl.

No problema. Good luck and happy leather cleaning/protecting.

Oh, and with reference to pic 2 above, those Oyster-colored pieces on the sides of the front seats are plastic!

Great thread!!!

I really thought that the shifter boot and handbrake boot were leather. I guess they kind of felt a little thin for leather, but now we know for sure. I'll use Aerospace 303 on them from now on!

Shift boot and brake boots are leather too. I wasn't certain until I unclipped them and saw they are suede inside.

I'm surprised no one mentioned the (obvious) steering wheel

I had my doubts about the steering wheels but I figured it could be leather.

In most cars only the actual seating surfaces are leather. Door panels, head rests, the back of seats, etc. are usually vinyl/leatherette.

I think you and I are saying the same thing, but that's true for many cars, not true for the E9x, where it's leather all around. Or so I've been told here on these pages.
