last time i went to the dealer for an oil change, i told them not to wash the car but when they brought it out, it was dripping wet and the service guy still had the nerves to tell me "we even washed your car for you sir." no one ever listens... its hopeless. this is the 2nd time the same thing happened. they never listen when i say not to wash it.

They probably used the same rag to wash it as they did to wipe up the excess oil.

Taking my car in for service in a couple weeks ... I think about 15 stickers/signs everywhere inside should be enough to remind them not to wash my car.

My solution to avoid the swirl fest that is a dealer wash is to take the car in sparkling clean and tell them not to wash the vehicle. Then put a printed out you have in your glovebox on the instrument panel that says DO NOT WASH. Works every time!

At Reeves in Tampa, they actually have a box to check if you do or do not want the wash.

Its not the washing process, but the way they dry the car creates all those swirls!
