[E91 Dude]

Hi Everyone,

[Background: I bought my U.S. spec E91 when I was stationed in Germany and had it shipped it back to the States recently.]

One day I tried to pair a Bluetooth phone and these are the screens I saw:



Needless to say, it didn't work. Has anyone else seen like this before? And is this covered under warranty? Thanks for the help!

These are the two screens I get as well (I don't have bluetooth at all) if I go to that section of NAV. It is normal. Read the user manual on how to pair up the phone, and once that is set up properly, everything else should work I am guessing...

Do you have a 4 year BMW North America warranty or just a BMW AG warranty. Presuming you have a BMW NA warranty, it is covered. The question is, do you have the telematics unit installed? From the screen, I would infer you do not have BMW Assist (and BMW Assist and Bluetooth come in the same unit).

You should be able to go to Communications / Bluetooth / Settings and get a message ,,Bluetooth connectable in this menu``. If not, it would appear you don´t have the feature.

Yes, I have a BMW North America warranty.

I'm not sure what the telematics unit is, but I do not have BMW Assist nor the premium package. I was under the impression that all vehicles came with Bluetooth capabilities from the factory, so the German phone numbers and strange characters (□□□□□□□□□) led me to believe that something was wrong.

i though BT was a separate option, but included with PP
