I drove an "09" 135i 6mt Friday, and no lag compared to my "07" e93/335i.

Just got my car yesterday. I didn't feel any lag at all. Although I've never driven a pre 29.2 car. But by all definitions of what a lag is, I definitely dont have any.

My 07 335 has absolutely no lag at all and feels like a N/A engine...I can thank V3 and Shiv for that!!! Anyone experiencing lag, should either wait till BMW fixes it whenever thats going to happen or try out Vishnu V3...There are only two solutions right now if it really bothers you guys that much...either wait for BMW or get V3 period which has a lagfix ontop of gaining performance!

My question ended up at the bottom of the last page, so I'll ask again... Are all of the tuning options still compatible on the '09s? (Vishnu, Juicebox, SSTT)

I've had Ver. 31.2 for a few weeks now. I have a 2006 build car with the latest version of the DME installed in the summer. I have to say that I'm very happy with the new program vs. the 29.2+ that I was slammed with in the summer that caused delays up to 3K. The delay is now less than 3 seconds under 3K and the car pulls aggressively to red line.
When I first bought the car, the boost was instantaneous and spun the wheel if I hit the gas while i was driving along. Hopefully a future release will reduce this lag. Also, within a month of getting the car a few years ago I noticed a new program they hit me with reduced the boost up top and the car noticeably slowed down it's rate of acceleration up top but now it pulls hard to red line. |

Same here. Just because our cars use two small turbos doesn't mean the lag won't be there. Honestly, compare to other turbo cars out there I can barely notice any lag on my car.

I have not driven an '07 model, but I've driven other turbo cars...if my '09 car has lag it must be very minimal because I can barely notice any.

I jsut picked up my 09 (1/21/09) build. I checked with Vishnu an BMS before ordering it, and both say that they are compatible with 09's
AS for the lag, i havent tested it out yet as i dont even have 100 miles on the car. I will do so soon and post the results. |
