335i xDrive Suspension Question? Help Please!

Hi Guys,

Just signed upo for this forum, seems like a good place to look for ideas/answers!

Going to pick up my new 335 xi tomorrow, I have rwd e90 now and I'm a bit afraid that I might not be happy with the suspension and the height of the car.

Heard a lot of rumours that lowering an xi is not an option. Have any of you guys had any problems with coilovers or just springs?

I have my old 19" Breyton Flame Sports left from my old car and would like to put them on later on... will post some pics soon!

Check out the XI section when you have a question like this, lots of great info.

There have also been a bunch or more recent threads talking about the different spring options.

Got mine today! I love it already, needs some mods thought... suspension, thinking about vishnu st. 1 and new exhaust. The seats feel a bit different from what I had in my 07 e90. those weren't full leather so it just might be that... love the car though, monacoblau is a nice colour imo! had mysticblue before... once the new suspension i post some pics...

coilovers: h&r or kw v3's , or you can do just springs(wouldn't recommend it) such as h&r, and then there's the dinan options... not a ton of options for the xi but they exist

Local shop suggested just Eibach Pro-Kit springs. Acc. to them that should do the job, improve handling and looks as well w/ 30mm F and 20mm A drop.

Any comments on this?

Lowering springs do not improve handling. They only improve looks.
