is the stock setting on the jb+ the same as how sstt is? ive read that sstt is 3.5 stock. and jb+ is 2.5 to 5psi adjustable. so where is a safe setting 3.5? same as sstt?

Terry quoted me in an email that default is 2.75 and anything above that could be visible but with the BT cable you can delete the codes. So if you want to run higher boost I suggest you look into purchasing the BT diagnostic box/cable and not worry.

Mike at N54tuning you had indicated several days ago big anouncement coming and possibly a group by any word on this?

WTF I can't do this lefty. Maybe if it wasn't 20 degrees with 30mph winds. Will give it another shot this weekend. I may have to cut this damn cast off my right arm install and then get a new cast.

How much gains hp/tq are we looking at with the max boost? Significantly higher than the SSTT? I'm thinking about purchasing this, but I would be wasting my money if the performance is as same as the SSTT.

Do you feel a KICK? Im looking for that thrust that pushes you back in your seat? I dont really it soo much right now being stock.

Btw, what did you mean by adapting to it? Like YOU adapting to it or your car?

definitely a kick/seat push, even at the default setting. I'm at 75%, 3/4 setting at the "kick" is even more noticeable.

IMO, with the jb+, this is how BMW should have tuned these cars off the lot....

what i saw sticking a dime in there is faster. but dont pull on on the dime. just make sure it is under the clip. with one hand one the dime in place and the other pull the wire out it should be out.. watever you do dont rush it then you have a broken tmap sensor.

I Posted this on another forum...but jsut to give you some insight I'm on a pre 29.2 AT E92 and am 1 notch before MAX on crappy 91 fuel.

"Another thing to note...I've been switching back and forth between the SSTT and the JB+ over this weekend to make sure my mind wasn't playing tricks on me about the shifting characteristics on my AT. First, the down low throttle response is soooo much better than the SSTT. You would think it would be worse as the torque-peak usually shifts farther down the RPM range with more boost but it feels so much more immediate. Go figure.

The kicker is that the SSTT shifted HORRIBLY on my AT...it shifted way too soon and really hard in D or S in the lower gears. I sometimes switched to stock on long trips just because it was smooth and unobtrusive. Considering this is not much more than a resistor and I don't know if Terry added any kind of magic, but the shifting is much closer to stock...smooth and much more predictable (at least on my AT). So anyway...so far so good, although I don't have a BT to check if I have any codes of any sort. What can I say? Highly Recommended!"

Terry later told me he grafted much of the JB3s boost transitions to the JB+ which explains the smoothness.
