don't do it too dark, just enough to cover the blue shade.
too much contrast in the front windshield doesn't look really good imo.

I did the entire windshield in the lightest tint available. It's amazing how much better I could see at night with the reduced oncoming glare, and no diminishment in being able to see. But the main reason I did it was because it keeps out practically all of the UV rays. If you're going to a good tinter, ask him about it.

Only do it if you're going to put big obnoxious lettering up there too, something like "BMW Cheese". I'm pretty sure the shops are only allowed by law to do this to Mustangs...

Save your money, and tint the sunroof. I put HO 30 on it and while it's still bright, the heat isn't too much of a factor with the ceramic tint.I usually drive with the sunshade pulled back so it's nice for my tastes, YMMV.

Please don't put a dark strip on the windshield. Looks too ghetto, imho
On my Lexus, I have Huper 40 on my sides, 30 on my rear, and 70 on the entire windshield. Keeps the car nice and cool, and you can't even tell it's on the windshield Last edited by JO3; 09-29-2006 at 04:50 PM.. |
