E92 177BHP Rolling Road - Today
Finally had a rolling road test on my 'Evolve' re-mapped 2.0D EF. Not sure what the BHP was before the re-map as the car had only covered 1200 miles and they did not advise putting it on the rollers.
Its now covered 5200 miles and has produced 209 BHP on the Dyno Dynamics rolling road. Evolve said it should loosen up further and power may increase. Its a little down on the 'hoped for' 217 BHP but 8 bhp is really nothing. The driveability is excellent, the car is transformed and average consumption for the last 4000 miles is 49 MPG. I have seen 62 MPG when driven on motorways using cruise. What are your comments on the BHP outcome?? |

Mine didn't start to free up until I'd done about 7k and the company 320d with the 163 bhp engine got better after about 30k
I'd be more interested in the torque numbers in a diesel though, do you have them? |

Just done 24,000 miles over the last seven months. I think it's fully 'loose' now
![]() Would love to put an Evolve map on mine, but not had the free cash recently. ![]() |

The max torque figure was 336 FtLb which was at 2150 RPM it tails off gradually to 275 FtLb at 4000 RPM. Anything over that and BHP declines also. Cheers |

Nah, 40 - 60k before the Derv BMW engine will loosen up properly. At 24k miles I think you're at the start of the lossen up period. My Golf TDi was at 34k miles when traded and only then did I start to notice it getting a bit better. Modern diesel engines are good for a whole heap of miles and 100k is mid life (pity the car bodies don't fair so well in some cases). ![]()
