Questions about PDC
Im thinking about purchasing a 335i with Parking distance Control. Just have a few questions about it.
1. Do i get a rear camera with it, showing the view of whats behind me or do i just get a graphical presentation of whats behind me? 2. Is there anyway i can just get the rear camera from the dealer without having the other stuff because im not a big fan of the beeping noise? 3.. If question #2 is no, then can i disable the beeping noise while having the camera on?(im going to have idrive) 4. Can i disable the beeping noise at all? Please answer these questions. I dont want to hear any other suggestions about getting anything aftermarket. i just want these 4 questions answered to determine if i should get pdc for my car. Thank You. |

2. Doubt it. I would say no. 3. No. 4. No. However, PDC is a good thing. Get it and enjoy your 335.

What's wrong with the beeping noise? It only starts to beep when you are within range of an obstacle.

I just want the rear camera, i find that very helpful. But i dont really need the beeping noise, i feel that i can park fine without it, thats all. Also I've heard that ppl with PDC tend to rely on it too much and afterwards wouldn't be able to park a car without it. So i dont want that to happend to me. lol But yea so is there anyway to get the camera without getting PDC? I just want the rear oem camera. I like the rear camera on the lexus which is a actual camera showing what exactly is behind u, so your saying the e92 wouldn't have a camera like that? It'll just show a graphical presentation but no real camera showing whats behind? |

Isn't the volume of the PDC adjustable? If so, put the car in reverse, back up until the beeps start and turn the volume down until the beeps stop.
