Ritz Carlton Parking

I was at the RMV earlier today with the wife to get a new state ID for her. We went to the one in Chinatown right by the new Ritz. I decided to park at the Ritz's garage since it's the closest. It was such a small parking garage for public, condo, and hotel use....... The spots themselves are incredibly narrow as well. I will definitely not park there again.

Have you ever parked in the LandMark Center by fenway. Whoever designed that lot should definately work at burger king from now on. It was an old converted building but man.. who does that.. there is a support column in every other spot

Landmark Center...... That's a bad parking garage too, but the spots are actually pretty wide .

I forgot to mention. There's only one lane going up and down floors at the Ritz garage. Also, the Veteran's Homeless Shelter is right next door. Who in the right mind would pay millions of dollars to live in a place like that is beyond me.......

I saw a yellow Gallardo, a blue Porsche Turbo, and a black Carrera S, no sight of the F430.

It's called living in the city. People here get over it.

As far as the spaces being narrow - real estate is expensive, floor space is expensive. You're not in Kansas anymore

Also, paying obscene hourly rates in the garages is nuts. I always park on the street and feed the meter. Scrimp some ways, indulge others

Er...... last I checked, I came from a city with a population density much higher than Boston and even then, most of the hotel parking garages don't look anything like the one at the Ritz. I usually park at the Pru and the parking spot look nothing like the dinky little ones at Ritz. Even the city hospital's parking garage has better parking facilities than the Ritz........

I usually park under the common (nice spots) if I'm heading to Chinatown or the Lowe's etc or I park up at the Center Plaza Garage accross from Gov't Center... Both have great after 4pm rates... Even their dailies aren't that bad...

Otherwise I'm a valet kinda guy... Sure you take a chance, but for $12 you can't beat it.

I NEVER park on the street unless its earlllly in the morning or lateeee at night in which less cars are around.

I've watched countless of times people just tap cars as they park or leave and its like oops whatever.

Happened to my car after owning it for 2 months luckily was just screw marks in my first clear bra

and my dad dad's old car back in 05 got side swipped here in beantown

I'll pay to park always

+1, I'll never ever park my car on the street again, especially in downtown. People use your car as bump stops when they parallel park and do not think much about that....... It really sucks.

+1, on the Landmark Center parking lot. I assume knocking out a lot (or even some) of the columns would've caused the whole building to collapse. It is funny though seeing some spots where basically only a moped could park because of how little room is left over.

Another parking lot that I try to limit my use in is the Porter Square shopping center lot. They tried to squeeze far too many spots in a very small amount of space.

Eh, it's just a car. The $12-20 every time isn't worth it. Over 3 years that's hundreds of dollars, and the bumper needs to be painted anyway due to road chips. I know, I spent an hour on Sunday filling in chips with touchup paint - none caused by parking.

I always park under the common and then walk or take the T to where I want to go. They have good sized spots and since I only go into town on nights and weekends, it hardly ever costs me more than $10 to park there.
