Replacing secondary cats with resonators?

First off, I just wanted to mention that I don't even own a 335 yet but I've been following this board religiously for the past few months. I've been on a lot of enthusiast message-boards and this really is the best. I can't wait to get out of my g35 coupe and into an AW E92, but until then it gives me some time to plan out my mods.

Seems like a big complaint around here with going totally cat-less is drone, even with the stock mufflers. Has anyone welded in resonators in place of the secondary cats? You would get most of the power associated with a full exhaust but a lot less noise and at a fraction of the cost... 400whp+ on a car that looks and sounds almost stock (at least while cruising) is priceless IMO.
