With all the BT's floating around, or soon to be floating around I am sure we will know/learn more about diagnostic visibility at different settings on the jb+.

AFAIK, no actual diagnostic scans have been done with the sstt either, just a statement/thread that no codes were thrown...I maybe wrong tho and just missed that thread/post with diagnostic proof of invisibility with the sstt with SW version 32.x and higher.....

but im not pre 29.2... thats what i was saying

I should have my BT this week, so I will be able to scan for codes. I have a 05/08 build. (MSD81). I have been running a JB+ at the default setting, DCI, 93 octane for over a week now.

you wont get codes pre or posts 29.2 with sstt.
but with the jb+ if you're post 29.2 you'll need a code scanner if you boost above the default of 2.7 psi.

so.. for post 29.2 (including 09 models), is it 100% safe regarding warranty issues if the jb+ is run at the default 2.75 psi?!?! can we get a confirmation from mike?

thanks

Is there a link between the SSTT, JB+, Vishnu, etc and faulty HPFP?

But it would also make it more diagnostically visible. This may not matter for some people. Those who do care about being invisible might have to settle for SSTT-like boost and power. I suspect this is one of the advantages of having it adjustable. You can choose your tune (up to a point of course) based upon your needs.

Shiv

Shiv,

With all the fuel pump issues regardless of 2007 or 2008 models, is there any evidence that perhaps the High Pressure Fuel Pump issue has something to do with all the aftermarket piggy backs that are out there that manipulate boost? I'm asking b/c I'm having fuel pump/line issues on my 2008 335i. BMW can't figure out what causes the rough idle at traffic lights. They already replaced my fuel pump and same issue...with the addition of delayed cold starts. It got worse. They are now trying to make a connection to the SSTT. I left it in the car b/c the SA manager and head mechanic (last year) were the ones that approved of the SSTT (and CP-E exhaust) after I showed them what it's designed to do. They said as long as it doesn't mess with the ECU, then they're ok with it. However, leadership changed this year in the Service department.

Question: While they are trying to prove that the faulty code (faulty fuel pump/weak fuel pressure) was triggered by the SSTT, how can we prove that it's not the SSTT (or JB+, or vishnu, or etc)? Do we have any evidence that discount blame on our products that we so trust? Thanks.

v/r,
Chris

^ that's scary, your warranty is on razor thin ice it seems- I would bring up that there is a known issue with the fuel pumps and all the troubles you've had with the 4 cars you've had

Only reason to get this over JB3 is pretty much simplicity. Thats one of the reason why im looking towards this as well when i sell my JB3. And all around when you have JB3 on you probably wont be cruising on stock map or low boost map. Theres always a thought when you see a car to race or get beat by a car. "ah i wish i was on map 4/6". And driving on that high of a boost 24/7 sure isnt heathly for our cars in long run.
Wanna get to try this soon.
