SpecC Detailed : TiAg E90 325i - OMFG LOTS OF PIX
Mmmmmmmm silver cars.......
![]() This belongs to our very own Minipuck V2.0. It's about time he decided to come over! This dude quick details his car all the time, and he barely had any swirls! Silver paint must be especially hard and resistant to damage! Wash and Dry CG CWG Grit guards Zymol sponges Imitation sea sponge Swissvax detail brush Detailedimage waffle weave drying towel Clay Diluted ONR 2 oz per gallon for clay lube Swissvax blue paint rubber Isopropyl alcohol wipedown afterwards Engine bay P21S total auto wash for under the hood CG Grime reaper 4:1 for under the hood (just some areas) and engine bay A few costco MF towels Swissvax detail brush CG Fade2black Paint correction Menzerna PO203S power finish with 3M UK 150mm yellow Menzerna PO85RD with 3M US 133.33mm black Menznera PO203S power finish with 80mm yellow - basically used this as a one step on all tight areas because I don't have a tiny finishing pad 3M backing plate Meg's 2.75" backing plate Sealant and Wax Duragloss 105 Chemical Guys 5050 Wheels P21S wheel gel P21S total auto wash - tires CG grime reaper 4:1 - tires EZ detail brush Swissvax wheel brush Stiff bristled tire brush DG 105 Swissvax Pneu Total time - 19 hours spent on this car I chose DG 105 for this car because he wanted a longer lasting protection. CG 5050 made up for the looks anyway. DG 105 is slowly becoming my go to sealant though. My process with the wheels to spray the face and inner part down with P21S wheel gel then spray CG grime reaper on the tires. It lifts all the dirt really fast, so I sprayed P21S TAW on the tires afterwards before scrubbing. For those of you who are still using SIP nonstop, you guys should look into some POWER FINISH! This thing cuts nearly as much as SIP and finishes LSP ready. I had to throw in some PO85RD to add some extra gloss for the silver, and it was well worth it in my opinion. On with the pics! ![]() Puddle on top... ![]() LEAKAGE ON THE BOTTOM! Now let's try to get some pictures of swirls ![]() ![]() YEH! No... ![]() MACRO! YEAH! No... ![]() MACRO AGAIN! Kind of... ![]() This was literally the best I could do. ![]() ![]() No worries! Here is PROGRESS! This was just polished with PO203S and PO85RD. MOAR PRE LSP PIX! ![]() ![]() Can we say... Power Finished? ![]() And PO85RD'D! ![]() The tiny pad/plate of AWESOME! ![]() One day, polishing won't create this hassle. ![]() And the giant tape ball of DOOM! Yes, I do have black gloves. Why? I am the ninja detailer! EAT TAPE BALLS! ![]() Tape ball put to use! And here's the engine bay... ![]() ![]() Under halogens... Not that it matters since I couldn't get pictures of them to begin with! ![]() ![]() And finished! ![]() CLOSER! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() RE30s ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Enjoy! I must say Ben...seeing Andy's car today, it looks immaculate.
I've never seen his wheels look so glossy and engine bay looks faken incredible. I remember you doing my engine bay back when you first started and job was just "OK". Today's is about 2x better than before! I'll have to talk to you sometime this week about my detail if you have time. |

really? i think it looks kinda funny tbh thanks phil! i'll be doing a review of the uber pads next weekend ![]() thanks man! thanks! Quote:
it had swirls, and detailing adds tons more gloss to the car. the swirls weren't terrible but they definitely will have an effect on your finish |

Gorgeous! Now that the weather is getting nicer, and hopefully I am more stable in my job, I will need to hit you up too. PM me with your schedule over the 1-2 months and prices.

Silver is one of the most unrewarding colors to do, but when done right, as you have done so, it can really pop. The owner should take some daylight shots, excellent work Spec.
