Interesting foam washing method

If you goto the middle of the video, he uses the foam gun and a sponge/brush/mitt side by side to clean the car, is this safe? Reason I am asking is because this looks like it would speed the washing process up big time.

I don't see where it would hurt anything.

Im not saying to do a pre-rinse, in the middle of the video he is using it to wash the car by shooting it and wiping it at the same time, thats what I am asking about.

At 5:12 in the video he is using a "foam and wipe" method which I have never seen. I have seen pre rinse where you foam the car and spray it down. But I have never seen someone clean with the method I am trying to show you. You technically do not need a soap bucket with this method, just a rinse bucket. All I am asking is to see if anyone uses this method and if it is safe to do on the car without scratching it.

I've done that before, spray the mitt, spray the panel, then use a rinse bucket only.

I found it to be a pain in the butt needing to use both hands and manage a hose, plus it wastes a lot of soap. Plus, to rinse panels after washing, I had to keep disconnecting the soap or fiddling with the mixer.

One time a cousin was helping me wash - he sprayed, i washed. It was not bad that way.

A quality boars hair brush shouldn't hurt the paint, even though I wouldn't use one.

I'm not a big fan of brushes on paint, either. But putting that aside, the technique of spraying foam while washing looks like a great way to go. If I had a foam gun, I'd try it.

I have a foam cannon, and it's a good method which I use at times. It does use a lot of solution though.

I used this method quite often. No harm done here
