Another JB+ satisfied customer

Just received my JB+ thru mail during lunch time. Set it to 90%(4 o'clock) and swapped out the SSTT right after lunch, as usual it just took me about 10 minutes to install. Took the car for a spin immediately after the installation. The difference was right there, the RPM jumped up like crazy, you'll never know how did you get to 6K rpm that fast, the moment you floor it, in a split second you'll notice you're running at 6k rpm already.

My car is still adapting, so I will report back here in the next couple days to let you know the real differences between JB+ and SSTT. The DTC light is flashing all the way thru 2nd gear during WOT, I'm happy now. May need a set of new rear tires very soon

Ha Ha, I reserve 10% when I need to race with my neighbor's E93 M3. We were both washing our cars outside yesterday and talking about some potential match-up

Today is the 2nd day after the JB+ installation, the car has adapted better. I could tell the throttle feels lighter compared to SSTT. According to the computer, my MPG is getting better too(17.6 -> 18.0). The major difference that I feel is the engine sounds better now, apparently it's working harder than before.

I have made an appointment to do the muffler delete next week. So we'll see how the engine will actually sound like after this mod.

I'm glad to see there are so many positive feedback on the JB+, looking to pick one up during the summer when I'm back home.

No worry, I'm pretty sure I have pre 29.2 software so no "mod detection" feature.

After 3 days of hard driving, I believe the car is fully adapted now. The final conclusions are:

Now the fun time starts from 2k rpm all the way to 7krpm. You can feel the turbo boost kicks in right around 2k rpm vs 3k with SSTT. In DS mode, every gear shifting is right at 7k rpm vs 6.8k with SSTT. So I have no complain about $280 that I spent. It worth every penny

would it be detrimental to the car if we left the jb+ on 100% all the time?

I don't think I saw one bad thread on the JB+!

Congrats on the "upgrade."

The JB+ sounds awesome but it does throw hidden codes as we have seen in another thread.
I guess anyone getting the JB+ should plan on getting the Bavarian Technic tool to reset the codes...

only throws code on post 29.1 and if you have it set to something higher than the default setting

So far only one person has reported one code, many more have said no codes. So we will see. A lot of JB+s and BTs going out so I expect in the next few weeks the verdict will be in

BT Scan Codes: JB+ @Default
Scanned my car this morning with JB+ (beta version) at the default setting and pulled the 2D25 Mass Flow Excessive code external tuning box detected. My vin indicates a 5/2008 build date with MSD81 DME. I don't know what software version I am running though maybe someone more enlightened can figure it out from the information screenshot. I'm also wondering why no codes were picked up from when I unplugged the battery to install the JB+ as well.

I'm not too worried atleast I can just delete the code. Now, I plan to turn it up to max and see what codes I get. I also have a dyno day scheduled for April 4th will keep this updated.
