you need to go under the car and remove the cover thing (dont know whats it called) thats below the engine and get the SSTT, but dont drive the car with it there cause you never know what it might get stuck into or it will most probably fall out in the street when you're driving

+1 if it fell all the way to the bottom then it is probably stuck on top of the plastic under tray. Just remove the tray and get it out. If it didn't fall to the bottom get a flash light and grab it.

If you can see it, try bending a metal clothes hanger and taping it to a handle or pole and try to hook it and pull it out.

Sears sells a metal tube with an end on it with 3 fingers that pop out when you push a button on the top and will grab onto stuff and let you pull it out. The undertray is pretty easy to get out it has about 5 screws across the front, 2 in the middle and about 5 at the back and it comes off. Depending on where it landed, you might be able to reach it through the cover you can remove to let the oil out of the engine, if you jack up the car or have some ramps.

Good Luck!

i dropped a socket down there once.... i wanted it back.. mostly so i could finish what i was working on.... ironically it was the same size as needed to pull the tray off... so i ended up having pretty good luck figuring out where it was by tapping on the tray and then sorta bouncing it over to the trap door for the oil drain....

I can't think of a good reason to buy one of those right now, but I still think I might - that is just cool!

Jack the car up and take the undertray off.

I use a usb cable to do my JB+ install/removal. But i use it differently, i tie one end of it around my hand, and the other end, i push through the cable group, preferably in right in between. It doesn't exactly create perfect hold, but if the SSTT/JB+ falls, at least it has a soft tether.

Just leave it in there and get a real tuning solution think of it as the car's way of saying, "Keep this thing off of me".

On a serious not, one other way to do it would be to drive forward, smash the breaks, and then look down towards the front of the engine bay for it.
