JB+ with 93 Octane= Kick in the pants

Since I have gotten used to the JB+ at default setting and am too lazy to crank it up at the moment. I went out and scored 5 gallons of 100 Octane and mixed it with 5 gallons of 91 octane and I must say.. WOW Its a total kick in the pants.

I pulled out of the gas station and gave the accelerator a little jab but not WOT and didn't feel much. I ended up at a light and when it turned green I floored it. Man O Man... the traction control light was blinking like crazy and when I caught traction I flew like a bat out of hell..

Over-all the car pulls really hard. The Butt Dyno gives thumbs up! Though at 6.45 a gallon of 100 octane I won't be doing this very often.

6.45 a gallon for 100 octane? consider that cheap. 8.07 a gallon here at the closest place to my house

Good to know that!

Is there any possibility that mixing two octane gas would throw code at default setting?

Well I remember the JB+ preliminary dynos..

jb+ @ 1/2 setting and 91 octane = 46RWHP gains
jb+ @ 3/4 setting and 91 octane= 42RWHP gains(sometimes less is more)
jb+@ 3/4 setting and 93 octane = 62RWHP gains

So @ 3/4 setting going from 91 octane to 93 octane gained 20RWHP.

I think 3/4 setting and 95-96 octane mix would be good for 70+RWHP Gains

Altho the above was a car with downpipes..

You have 15 seconds? Some members can do it in ten sec. I'm a slow poke...1 minute for me.

Heh, do you have to remove the stock intake box?

Nope, most people it takes about 5 minutes though...

The clip is somewhat hard to figure out the first time, but after that its a no brainer...

Very simple..

The realistic answer is 5-10minutes from the time you get to your car, and to the point you have a smile on your face as you are driving away

You don't have to remove the airbox.

Just put in an order for a JB+

I weighed my options and decided true plug and play capability was paramount. Add to that the price, and +50 whp gains, and that's a pretty darn good tune if you ask me.

Expect to see a review from me soon....

Jon, I ordered mine yesterday!!! I drove with Sal (AutoCouture) a couple of days ago (he has one), the tune is great and takes about 3 seconds to put in (once you know what you're doing).

Hint: The TMAP sensor is on the driver's side, under the air box - closer to the firewall. Getting to it and unclipping it is the hard part.

You should be able to crank her, but I still would recommend the BT tool. Sent you a PM..
