Is there an easier way?

My Motorola V710 by Verizon paired up with my car just fine, but every time I enter the vehicle I have to go into the phone menu in idrive and select connect on my phone. It doesn't take much time but I thought Bluetooth devices automatically looks for each other? Just thought it'd be much better if the phone will pair up with the car automatically every time I start the engine.

Nevermind, I found an easier way. I can keep my phone on me without having to take it out. Just need to select "communication" every time I start the car and it will automatically connect.

I can't really say with Nav and a V710. But on my 330i without Nav (or iDrive) and my Treo 650, I don't have to do anything. I just start the car and go and the the phone connects automatically. I can send and receive calls right away without having to manually connect.

Nevermind, I found out that if I wait 20 seconds after turning on accessories the phone will automatically connect to the car, didn't think to wait that long before.

bcaslis,
Which Treo 650 do you have? Do you have the palm os updated or the car kit installed?
I have a Cingular Treo just want to make sure it will work with my car (coming in 3 weeks).
Thanks
